Barbour dips its toes into streetwear with Supreme collaboration
British heritage brand Barbour has teamed up with Supreme on a collection of a waxed cotton goods, including a lightweight field jacket and a waist bag, with the collection due to be released online only on 7 May 2020.
The Barbour collection marks the latest in a series of recent releases from Supreme. In April, the brand unveiled a special edition of its Box Logo t-shirt with artist Takashi Murakami, with 100% of the proceeds going to housing charity, Help USA.
With its stores in the US, UK, France and Japan remaining temporarily closed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Supreme x Barbour collection will see a global online-only launch.
Supreme announced via Instagram that the capsule will launch on Supreme's main web store on 7 May, with a Japan online launch taking place on 9 May. Supreme confirmed it will be wavering shipping fees on all orders over £150.
Barbour is currently producing scrubs and personal protection equipment (PPE) for the NHS at its factories in the north of England, joining a host of other brands across the globe doing their bit to help during the COVID-19 pandemic.
