Barbie and Wrangler’s latest collection is Kenough
Barbiecore makes a case for sticking around with Barbie and Wrangler’s western-inspired collaborative collection of denim.
The global denim brand, Wrangler, has joined forces with Mattel’s Barbie to create a collection that celebrates the two brands’ similar heritages to champion women and girls.
The collection fuses Barbie pink and Wrangler’s iconic denim. For example, it includes a pink rendition of the iconic Wrangler back-pocket leather patch.
Not only does it include jeans but it also features laid-back California-inspired styles such as shirts, dresses, tees and jackets with a Western flair. It reimagines brand archives and pays homage to the Barbie brand’s history of experimenting with Western-inspired fashion, including her experience as a horse owner beginning in the 1970s.
Jenni Broyles, Senior Vice President at Wrangler, commented: "Particularly through the remarkable expansion of its female product categories over the years, Wrangler has earned a unique position in women's fashion, offering a Western style that transcends lifestyles, occupations, economic backgrounds, genres, geographies and generations.
