ASOS teams up with Hived for sustainable one day deliveries in London
Hived, a startup delivery service founded in 2021, has announced a partnership with ASOS to fulfil its same-day delivery orders in Greater London.
Hived operates an entirely electric fleet of vans, cars and bikes and offers same-day, next-day and two-day shipping options to all of Greater London. The business also boasts a 99.99% on-time delivery rate and a 99% first-time success rate.
ASOS set two overarching pillars, Planet and People, which are underpinned by key goals including minimising ASOS' impact on the planet through decarbonisation targets set with the Carbon Trust. ASOS aims to be carbon neutral in its direct operations by 2025 and achieve Net Zero across its value chain by 2030.
Adam Scholes, Director of Delivery Solutions at ASOS, said: “Through ASOS Instant, ASOS customers can place an order during the day and receive it to their door that evening – vital for those last-minute purchases that just can’t wait. It’s great to be launching this new partnership with Hived for ASOS Instant deliveries into Greater London, as we continue our journey to reduce emissions from our operations.”

ASOS recently reported a loss of £31.9 million on sales up just 1% to £3.94 billion in the year to 31 August 2022. The loss came after performance in the second half of the year was weaker than expected, particularly in international markets.
