ASOS launches same-day delivery service

ASOS will launch ASOS Instant tomorrow, a same day delivery option for its customers in London, and plans to roll the service out to other UK cities in the coming months.

Available to all of the capital's 122 postcodes on orders placed before 10am, Sunday – Friday, ASOS Instant will cost £12.95 and parcels will be delivered between 6pm – 10pm on the same day.

ASOS Delivery Solutions and Returns Director Matt Rogers said the business had "a history of innovation – in our use of technology, our trend setting fashion, and in the best-in-class delivery and service propositions we offer our customers. We are excited about the introduction of ASOS Instant and will continue to explore new options that add convenience and choice for ASOS shoppers."

The London-based business which targets fashion-loving 20-somethings around the globe – it claims 15m active customers – has been investing heavily in its delivery and service proposition and says that in the last year alone it has introduced 200 related improvements around the world.

ASOS sells more than 85,000 branded and own-label products which are delivered to almost every country in the world from its fulfilment centres in the UK, US and Europe.

Its other delivery options include Next Day (free for Premier customers or £9.95 for UK customers) which has a cut-off time of midnight on weekdays and 8pm at weekends. It also offers Click and Collect from 9,000 points around the country and earlier this year launched its "precise" delivery option allowing customers to choose a one-hour delivery window.
