ASOS launches Reclaimed Vintage x Outer Banks collection ahead of Netflix show's season premiere

ASOS has today launched a new collaboration collection for its Reclaimed Vintage own-brand with Netflix’s ‘Outer Banks’ – just in time for the start of the show’s fourth season, with part one premiering globally today, 10 October.

The Reclaimed Vintage x Outer Banks collection features seven, mostly unisex, pieces including t-shirts and hoodies, now available on the ASOS website.

Inspired directly by the wardrobe of the characters and created in collaboration with the costume designer for the show, Emmie Holmes, the pieces “capture the show’s spirit of freedom and adventure” combined with the retro aesthetic that Reclaimed Vintage is known for. Fans are told to “look out for John B’s iconic bandana that he is never seen without”.

She really helped bring this vision to life and channel the show’s iconic looks, which we blended with our distinctive designs to create a range that is both nostalgic and contemporary.

“We can’t wait for fans of the show and fashion enthusiasts alike to experience this exciting new collection.”

Film and TV shows continue to have a major influence on fashion among young audiences. Launching this new collaboration collection with the hit Netflix show allows ASOS to reach broader audiences, as well as “foster emotional connections, and drive engagement”.

This comes just days after ASOS finalised the sale of Topshop and Topman to a joint venture led by Heartland, which represents ASOS shareholder Anders Holch Povlsen and his fashion business Bestseller.

The joint venture was established following a competitive sale process for the brands and sees Heartland indirectly hold a 75% stake in the joint venture for a £135 million cash consideration.
