ASOS has announced the departure of interim Chief Financial Officer Katy Mecklenburgh, who will be leaving the role in 2023 after accepting a new role as CFO at Softcat, an IT infrastructure provider.

Mecklenburgh will work her notice period of six months, before taking on her new role.

Non-Executive Chair of Softcat, Martin Hellawell, said: "Katy's background, experience and affinity with our culture and workforce set her apart from other candidates. She will make a hugely valuable addition to our board and senior leadership team and her appointment allows us to deliver on our stated goal of ensuring the continued, effective and long-term leadership of our company."

Mecklenburgh stepped up to the plate when Mat Dunn stepped down as CFO on 31st October 2022 as part of the restructuring of the Executive team. The company said that he would remain employed until December 31, 2022, to provide transitional support.

Dunn left to pursue the role of CFO at Gymshark, taking over from outgoing CFO Philip Daw. He will step into the new role in early 2023.

Upon exiting the company, Dunn commented: "I have very much enjoyed my time at ASOS. We have achieved a lot over the last three years and the business is stronger as a result and I am sure will go on to great success. I am looking forward to my next challenge, but I will continue to follow what is happening at ASOS and I wish the Board, José, and the rest of the team all the best for the future.”
