ASOS expands its 'Partner Fulfils' service with marketplace platform Mirakl
ASOS is expanding its marketplace capabilities, in partnership with SaaS platform Mirakl, enabling third-party brands to broaden the range of inventory made available through the young fashion giant's website.
The 'Partner Fulfils' service allows brands to fulfil orders placed via ASOS directly, without the need for the product to be housed in an ASOS warehouse. The introduction of the Mirakl platform means more brands can tap into the service and make more of their product range available to ASOS customers.
ASOS recently announced the expansion of Partner Fulfils from two to 23 brands across the UK and Europe and the introduction of the service is part of CEO José Ramos Calamonte's new 'Driving Change' agenda which places a strategic emphasis on profit and a 'lighter cost profile'.
The business recently announced it was rationalising warehouse space and removing unprofitable brands from its site; it has also partnered with Secret Sales to clear excess inventory outside of the ASOS environments.
Expanding Partner Fulfils will also enable ASOS to offer key territories more relevant local fashion through partnerships with smaller businesses. By hosting their products on the ASOS platform, without holding any stock or handling fulfilment, ASOS says it can "effectively and efficiently tailor its product offering to customers in different markets".
