ASOS has announced that it will start trading on the main market for listed securities on the London Stock Exchange on 22 February 2022, carrying the same ticker symbol as before - ASC.

The company said that Ordinary Shares will be admitted to the premium listing segment of the Official List and trading on the main market will begin at 8am. The Ordinary Shares will be delisted from London Stock Exchange’s junior AIM market at 7am the same day, ASOS added.

The company said that it will not be offering any new Ordinary Shares nor any other securities in connection with the proposed Admission. The announcement follows on a statement released on 13 January, where ASOS first confirmed the move following a successful trading period.

Mat Dunn, ASOS COO and CFO, said: "ASOS has set out a clear plan to deliver an ambitious growth strategy over the next three to four years and to deliver on the sizeable opportunities ahead for our business. Against this backdrop, the time is now right to move to the Main Market. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the teams who worked so hard over the past few months getting ready for today, and to all ASOS'ers for their ongoing dedication and commitment."

Last month ASOS announced that it was set to boost the UK economy by £3.8 billion and create an additional 25,000 jobs within the next four years, revealing its first-ever economic impact report.
