Luxury Italian luxury fashion brand Armani has opened its first-ever outlet in Essex at Braintree Village, following the opening of non-essential retail opening across the country.

Spanning 1,889 sq ft, the new Armani store joins other designer brands such as Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Timberland, who also operate within Braintree Village.

Armani’s signing at Braintree Village is the first for the outlet in 2021, following the 11 new stores that joined the destination in 2020.

The outlet destination is owned and managed by Landsec, a FTSE 100 commercial property company. Landsec's portfolio comprises some of the most successful and recognisable property assets in the UK.

Bruce Findlay, Landsec’s Managing Director, Retail, commented: "Across our outlet portfolio, designer brands are an important part of the offer, and provide another compelling reason for our guests to visit us.

"As a globally respected name, Armani is a brilliant addition to our array of internationally recognised and independent names at Braintree Village, complementing the existing luxury offer in our retail line-up. We are very pleased Armani have chosen Braintree Village, and to be safely welcoming customers back to our destination."

This month will see former Editor-in-Chief of Italy's Harper's Bazaar, Alan Prada, begin a new role at Giorgio Armani, joining in the newly created role of Deputy Creative Director of Online and Offline Image.
