Armani Exchange to open Regent Street store this year

Armani Exchange has launched an open-call recruitment campaign to fill vacancies in its upcoming flagship on London’s Regent Street.

The "I Need You" campaign, which allows candidates to apply via QR codes and social media, will see the brand return to Regent Street following the closure of its two-level flagship in 2017.

The diffusion label of Italian fashion brand Giorgio Armani is to take over the former Zara Home unit at 127-131 Regent Street. The company hasn't confirmed an opening date for the store.

The former store, at 244 Regent Street, closed as part of a wider group restructuring, which led to the closure of stores at Kent's Bluewater, Manchester's Intu Trafford Centre, Liverpool's Met Quarter, Guildford's Friary Centre and Trinity Leeds.

One of London's prime shopping district, Regent Street is set to see further additions to its retail offering following the departure of J Crew, Brooks Brothers, Desigual and Zara Home over the past two years.

Japanese clothing retailer Uniqlo opened its new store in April, whilst Gymshark is planning to open its first permanent store at 165 Regent Street this year. Skincare brand Aesop and fashion label Marc Jacobs also have new shops in the area.
