Arket readies for King’s Road opening – marking fourth store in London

Swedish fashion brand Arket, part of the H&M Group, is opening a new 5,608 sq ft store at 196-222 King’s Road in the redeveloped Gaumont Theatre building in Chelsea tomorrow, 26 September.

It will be Arket’s fourth retail location in London, having previously opened stores at 224 Regent Street, 27-29 Long Acre in Covent Garden and a shop-in-shop in Selfridges at 400 Oxford Street.

Earlier this month, Arket also opened its first store in Ireland, located at 60 Dawson Street in Dublin’s city centre.

The new King’s Road store is set over two floors, combining Arket’s signature monochrome palette of soft greys and natural materials, including custom-made terrazzo flooring, oak interiors and lush greenery.

It will offer a curated selection of ready-to-wear and accessories for women, men and kids, as well body care and interior products.

The collections are “built on a core of contemporary wardrobe staples” complemented by seasonal fashion drops and functional accessories for travel and everyday living.
