ARKET opens at Birmingham's Bullring

H&M Group's ARKET has opened the doors of its new regional flagship at the Bullring shopping destination in Birmingham.

The 13,000 sq ft store is located on the mall's upper level and has been designed by an in-house team. ARKET's concept is a modern-day take on a Scandinavian market with men's, women's, children's and lifestyle collections, as well as a café promoting fresh, seasonal and sustainable Nordic recipes.

ARKET's global debut took place on London's Regent Street in the summer of 2017 and since then H&M Group has opened six stores in the UK, including at Liverpool ONE, Bluewater in Kent, Westfield Stratford and Long Acre, Covent Garden.

This latest opening marks another landmark for Bullring. HUGO by Hugo Boss opened its first standalone store outside of London at the destination earlier this week and yesterday it was revealed that Kurt Geiger, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger would all be opening new stores before Christmas.

Iain Mitchell, Commercial Director at Bullring owner Hammerson, commented: “It is a significant achievement for Bullring, as well as Birmingham, that ARKET selected the centre for continued expansion across the UK. With the recent addition of HUGO and NYX and Morphe coming soon, ARKET is a fantastic flagship addition to our leading aspirational fashion line-up. I am confident the unique offer will be extremely popular with our shoppers.”
