ARKET collaborates with Tretorn on first sustainable rainwear collection

H&M Group owned sustainable fashion brand ARKET is today launching a capsule collection of rainwear in collaboration with fellow Swedish sustainability-minded brand Tretorn.

The ARKET x Tretorn collection features reimagined coats for women, men and children inspired by vintage fishermen’s parkas and robust raincoats often worn in the Swedish countryside, retailing between £18-£135.

The range is complemented by rubber footwear and accessories for an entire weather-proof look, as well as a matching rain jacket for dogs.

Details such as fold-ups and rain guards that lead rain water away from the body, fleece-lined pockets and welded seams make the collection suitable for challenging weather conditions.

All the separates are made from dimethylformamide-free (DMF-free), water-based polyurethane with recycled polyester backing. The material combination significantly reduces the environmental footprint of the garments by eliminating the harmful solvent DMF linked to the greenhouse effect and respiratory diseases.

In keeping with both brands’ high environmental standards, the boots and clogs in the collection come in responsibly sourced, natural rubber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
