British sportswear brand and kit supplier Castore - founded by brothers Tom and Phil Beahon in 2015 and part owned by tennis player Sir Andy Murray - is to open a new 2,000 sq ft store at 133 Buchanan Street in Glasgow in early September.

The brand already runs a store in partnership with Glasgow Rangers FC in the city, and is the football club’s kit supplier. It also recently penned a new multi-million pound deal to supply kit to Newcastle United FC, owned by Mike Ashley.

The new store will carry some exclusive Rangers FC products, as well as Castore’s premium technical lifestyle apparel and its Garcia collection, and the opening will create 20 new jobs.

Located near the Nike store, the new Castore store design is centred around the brand’s “Better Never Stops” ethos.

Tom Beahon said: “It’s fantastic to be launching our first own brand store in Glasgow. We already feel at home at the city thanks to the brilliant Rangers FC fans, and it’s great to be able to offer our full range to meet both sporting and lifestyle needs.

“With the store due to open in early September, we’re looking forward to onboarding our new colleagues and bringing our mission of ‘Better Never Stops’ to the city.”
