Amazon Fashion Europe has today launched an interactive Virtual Try-On (VTO) sunglasses feature, with brands including Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste, Hawkers and Polaroid, so customers can “make better, more informed purchase decisions”.

After finding a pair they like, customers just need to tap on the ‘Virtual Try On’ button on the product detail page, then point the front camera on their mobile device at their face to see how the glasses look on them from all angles.

Over 1,500 styles of sunglasses are now available, with more fashion categories such as shoes “to be added over the course of time”.

Ruth Diaz, VP Amazon Fashion Europe, said: “We’re thrilled to be introducing another innovative feature for our Amazon fashion customers. Finding the perfect pair of sunglasses online that you will love and wear all year is now fun and easy with Virtual Try-On technology.

“We look forward to listening to our customers and brands enhancing the VTO experience with more product categories and styles to come.”

After opening the Amazon shopping App on iOS devices, customers can discover the full selection of Virtual Try-On sunglasses directly from the Amazon Fashion homepage, and they can also take a photo of the virtual sunglasses they’re ‘trying on’ and share the photo with friends through social media.
