Allbirds extends returns policy to 100 days during coronavirus outbreak

Sustainable footwear brand Allbirds has announced it is to extend its returns policy length from 30 to 100 days, as the coronavirus outbreak continues to spread.

The brand circulated the news via its mailing list, in a statement reading: "There's a lot going out right now. In light of that, we're extending our returns policy, no questions asked. Once you've received your new Allbirds, slip them on and enjoy. If you don't love them, we'll take them back with free online returns."

Allbirds have consistently been considerate of the impact of COVID-19, being one of the first high street stores to close in order to protect staff and customers.

Last week, Allbirds also made a pledge to donate 2,000 pair of shoes to front line NHS staff.

The footwear brand also confirmed that employees continue to be paid and receive the company benefits they’re entitled to during the closure of its retail stores

Co-CEO’s Tim Brown and Joey Zwillinger issued a statement, commenting: “It’s hard to navigate the unknown, but as we continue to better understand how to slow the spread of COVID-19 we want to do all we can to keep our customers, employees and local communities safe.

“Our online stores around the world are still open for business as usual, and we’re working closely with our suppliers to ensure their safety while we also fulfil orders and respond to needs as quickly as possible”
