02 April 2020

Fashion label Alexander McQueen has launched a weekly project to inspire creativity whilst most of the world is currently under lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The new ‘McQueen Creators’ project encourages followers to create art based on selected looks from the brand’s fashion collections.

Each week, fans will be shown a new concept to work on with McQueen’s team or collaborators via detailed digital tutorials.

The first concept will be based around the Roses installation at the brands London Bond Street store, with followers being asked to sketch the finale rose dress from the Autumn/Winter 2019 collection.

Future projects will centre around topics including 3D creation and embroidery, according to Wonderland Magazine.

Alexander McQueen will then give recognition to its favourite designs by sharing its favourite submissions on social media channels, selected from those using the hashtag #McQueenCreators.
