Alexa Chung to show at London Fashion Week for the first time

19 July 2018

Model, muse and designer Alexa Chung will show her namesake label, ALEXACHUNG, at London Fashion Week for the first time this September.

Her brand, which she launched at a live-streamed fashion show in May 2017, will show its SS19 collection at 11am on Saturday 15 September in an on-schedule catwalk show.

Chung has previously favoured see now, buy now events and parties to launch her collections, so the move to show a season ahead and on-schedule is a big shift for the fledgling brand, which counts major multibrand retailers such as Matchesfashion.com and NET-A-PORTER.com among its stockists.

Another major highlight of the September event will be the 10th anniversary show of Victoria Beckham's main line, which will be shown at 10am on Sunday 16 September. This will be the first time Beckham has shown her main line in London since it was launched in New York and has been shown there ever since.

Also hotly anticipated will be the Burberry show at 5pm on Monday 17 September when new Burberry chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci will be unveiling his first collection for the house since taking over from Christopher Bailey, who bowed out at the last London Fashion Week in February.
