Alexa Chung launches shoppable style app Villoid
Style icon Alexa Chung has launched her own shoppable style app that promises to "revolutionise the way you get dressed".
Villoid takes a similar approach to Instagram, but crucially, it features a click to buy function and is dedicated to fashion. It offers users a platform where they can showcase their own style, follow fellow users, love their boards and individual items.

The move is Chung's first into technology. She has modelled, written and presented on fashion and also has designed a highly successful denim line in collaboration with AG. "I wanted to get to learn something about a field I knew nothing about and I felt I could offer the tech field something I know lots about... clothes," said Chung of the new venture.
The brands available to buy on the app are a reflection of Chung's wide fashion influences from accessible brands such as ASOS through to more premium offerings from Shrimps and APC and luxury brands such as Miu Miu. Vintage fashion also features.
