Agent Provocateur appoints new marketing and communications director

Luxury lingerie brand Agent Provocateur has added to its all-female leadership team with the appointment of Kate Brindley as its new marketing and communications director.

Brindley, a seasoned fashion industry communications expert, joins the business from lingerie start-up Noelle Wolf. Prior to Noelle Wolf she held roles such as global communications director at Nicholas Kirkwood, the LVMH-owned luxury footwear brand, and head of press, marketing and community at Liberty.

Her arrival at Agent Provocateur follows that of new CEO Michelle Ryan, who joined the business from Kurt Geiger, in January of this year. Ryan indirectly replaced Sandra Mertens-Lustig who left to join Lulu Guinness as CEO.

Brindley said of her appointment: “I have always admired and watched the Agent Provocateur brand since its inception in 1994. The fearless femininity of AP is very inspiring to me as a woman.

"I’m delighted to be joining the all-female leadership team headed up by CEO Michelle Ryan and work alongside COO Kerry Neil and Creative Director Sarah Shotton, whose aesthetic I’ve always admired. We have exciting plans for Agent Provocateur, stay tuned!”

The business said Brindley's arrival was part of its ongoing brand strategy and that she would champion "gent Provocateur’s provocative attitude and innovative designs".
