Adidas has announced its plans to hire more than 2,800 new employees this year, across 307 locations in 47 countries.

The majority of new employees, more than 900 people, will be hired in Adidas retail stores. Adidas will then fill more than 500 positions in data and analytics, IT and digital.

The sportswear brand will also continue to hire in the area of sustainability, having already doubled this number of jobs in 2021.

Adidas emphasises its mission to increase diversity in the company, with a particular focus on women in leadership positions. The brand's goal is to have women in leadership positions at Adidas exceed 40% by 2025. By the end of 2020, the company was already at 35%.

Adidas will award over 50 positions for apprenticeships or dual studies in Germany starting this Autumn. In total, Adidas employs around 62,000 people, of which around 7,700 are in Germany. Around 5,300 employees work at the company headquarters in Herzogenaurach.

Amanda Rajkumar, Executive Board Member at Adidas, said: "We want to set standards as an employer. Adidas is an employer like no other and we go above and beyond every day to create an attractive working environment for our employees. Adidas is fantastic and I can only encourage those interested to apply."
