Adidas London has launched an educational programme for emerging young creatives in London, with the brand's Originals Carnaby Street store serving as the programme's learning hub.

For 12 months participants will take part in creative workshops led by industry experts, having access to brand mentors and working on live adidas Originals projects.

The educational programme was founded in partnership with youth-led digital media platform GUAP, which aims to nurture young talent and build diverse, creative communities on behalf of under-represented young Londoners.

The course will start in April with online applications live until 23 February.

Chris Walsh, VP Brand, Adidas North Europe said: “At adidas, we are passionate about providing inclusive opportunities to support young talent in cities across the world. In London, through our Carnaby Street Originals Store, we are partnering with GUAP to bring this to life, creating a platform to develop the skills of participants in this initiative with the support of an inspirational set of mentors. We look forward to championing the work of these creatives and seeing them thrive.”

Jide Adetunji Co-Founder of GUAP, commented: “Having tangible role models/mentors and accessible spaces is key when trying to elevate in the creative industry. With so many youth clubs and affordable venues being shut down it’s harder than ever to be an emerging creative. This network aims to provide skill-sharing through some of the best young professionals in their fields and an inspirational space to work in and network”.
