Adidas launching second collection with Craig Green
Adidas has announced a second collaborative collection with Craig Green, launching globally on 7 November 2020.
The shoes debuted at Green’s Autumn/Winter 2020 show in January, the British designer’s first show held in Paris.
This season, Green introduces his take on the CG SUPERSTAR sneaker. Green reimagines the shoe using quilting to define the classic Superstar design. The CG SUPERSTAR style will be available in off white and red, or utility black with green.
Also new is the CG KONTUUR III sneaker, with Green introducing shimmering new versions to update the adidas Mundial football boot. The CG KONTUUR III will be available in black and legend earth.
Joining these new styles is the CG POLTA AKH III silhouette, a take on the CG POLTA AKH series launched earlier this year. The CG POLTA AKH III will be available in grey and white.
The collection has been photographed in a campaign by Green’s long-term collaborator, Dan Tobin Smith. The concept sees shoes from the collection being deconstructed, then turned into anatomical sculptures.
Craig Green said in a statement: “It’s a privilege to create our version of such an icon as the adidas Superstar. We started by finding the place between both brands where our ideas meet and then explored how these concepts could then be pushed even further.”
