Ace & Tate opens "peep" store in London

01 December 2017

Dutch eyewear retailer has opened its first physical store in the UK – a temporary space in London's Covent Garden, which it will share with local creatives.

The Seven Dials store will be open for five months and the two-storey space has been designed by an in-house team playing on the theme of reflection. A system of turning mirrors will reflect passers-by while neon artwork – a feature of all Ace & Tate stores – shows a palindromic sentence reflected in two mirrors.

As well as a selection of the brand's eyewear, the store will be shared with creatives from across London, the first is photographer Hayley Louisa Brown who is exhibiting a selection of images from her latest project, Children of Graceland which is supported by the Ace & Tate Creative Fund.

Ace & Tate

Ace & Tate was founded in 2013 and has opened 20 stores across Europe. The physical stores are an extension of its online channel which offers services such as Home Try-On which allows customers to order up to four frames and try them for free for five days. Its store offers personal style and fit advice and free eye tests are available via appointment five days a week, as well as a same-day service for customers to order and collect their glasses on the same day.
