Cult French ready-to-wear brand A.P.C and East London denim makers Blackhorse Lane Ateliers are among a crop of new names set to open at Coal Drops Yard in King's Cross this summer.

Set in former industrial units and railway arches, reimagined by architect Thomas Heatherwick, the new shopping and eating experience opened last autumn with a handpicked line-up of fashion and lifestyle retailers and food & beverage outlets.

For A.P.C, the timeless brand founded by Jean Touitou in 1987, Coal Drops will be its fourth standalone store in London while for Blackhorse Lane Ateliers, which specialises in selvedge and organic raw denim jeans, it will be the second store.

Also arriving in the summer are Australian skincare brand Aesop, Parillan bar & grill, and Sons + Daughters fast-casual sandwich bar.

The line-up at Coal Drops Yard includes the London flagship store of independent designers' platform Wolf & Badger, along with stores from forward thinking brands including Paul Smith, Tom Dixon, Cubitts, Universal Works, Form&Thread, MHL. By Margaret Howell and COS.

Coal Drops Yard forms part of The King’s Cross estate which is owned by the King’s Cross Central Limited Partnership, made up of Argent and pension fund AustralianSuper. AustralianSuper owns a 67.5% stake in KCCLP.
