40 Depop sellers put “unique mark” on iconic adidas Stan Smith in PRIMEGREEN

Fashion resale marketplace Depop has teamed up with adidas Originals to give 40 sellers the unique opportunity to make their unique mark on a pair of Stan Smith PRIMEGREEN shoes, with proceeds going to a charity of each seller’s choice.

PRIMEGREEN is a high-performance upper made with recycled materials, and it’s part of adidas’ commitment to stop using virgin polyester by 2024, as well as a step in its journey towards helping cut down plastic waste.

In addition, three Depop creatives have collaborated with adidas to rework different pieces from the adidas clothing line. From tops to jackets, the result is a collection of exclusive, one-of-a-kind pieces designed to be worn with Stan Smiths.

Sam Nowell (@samnowellstudios) worked with designer and renowned upcycler Paolina Russo, Sarah Robinson (@sarah_o_robinson) partnered with champion British 400m athlete Laviai Nielsen, and Soph Tresadern (@stresadern) teamed up with Easy Life for a five-piece range inspired by the UK band’s unique style. All adidas Originals x Depop pieces are exclusively on Depop.

The Stan Smith PRIMEGREEN features an upper made with 50% recycled content, and each pair comes with 15% recycled Ortholite sockliners, as well as laces composed of recycled polyester and recycled rubber.
