Online fashion destination, ASOS has started a consultation process with customer care centre staff as part of an ongoing restructuring scheme that places around 100 jobs at risk of redundancy.

According to Retail Gazette, staff were informed of the job cuts proposals via email on Wednesday morning.

Nearly 100 jobs, mostly night shift roles at ASOS’ customer care centre in Leavesden, near Watford, are at risk.

The Retail Gazette reported that the proposed customer care centre changes are a response to ASOS’ recent global growth as it seeks better ways to serve international customers in different languages.

The online retailer's last major round of job cuts was back in October, when 100 staff from various departments were placed into consultation.
